The NA ESRB rating board has leaked what may be a surprise Switch port of the original 2013-released LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game, previously released at that time for basically every platform; from Wii U and 3DS, to PS3, Vita, and 360, and as launch titles for the newly launched PS4 and Xbox One. Not to be forgetting PC, Mac, and mobile. I guess the Wii, DS, and PSP weren’t invited to the party.
Warner Bros and TT Games are no strangers to late ports of LEGO games. Just recently they ported LEGO Jurassic World to Switch in 2019, with the game originally having released on everything else back in 2015. The original LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game looks to have been VERY well received. However you can also right now buy the direct sequel LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 on Switch which came out alongside other systems in 2017. That game regularly goes on sale for a pretty cheap price, so I’d advise just holding out until the next sale, particularly for the Deluxe Edition which bundles it with all the DLC.
Also, going by how LEGO Jurassic World turned out on Switch, hopefully the Switch port will also be close to the PS4 and XBO versions than the PS3 and 360 versions. The Switch port of LEGO Jurassic World was higher-res, cleaner, and ran smoother, again like the PS4 and XBO versions. Like dear lord the screen-tearing is atrocious in the PS3 footage in the aforementioned video linked. Fingers crossed they do a similar job with LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on Switch, as well as bundle all DLC.
Anyone play any of the LEGO Marvel games? There was also LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, again out on like everything back in early 2016. Any opinions of either of the three in particular? Interested or excited to play the first one on Switch? Let me know in the comments below!
